About me
Luciana Honda has been an educator for over 28 years and currently serves as an Upper Grades Portuguese Teacher at Avenues: The World School, where she has worked since 2022. Her academic background includes degrees in Economics, Portuguese Language and Literature, and Pedagogy, as well as a Postgraduate Specialization in Higher Education Didactics. Her professional interests include teacher development and instructional leadership. For the past 16 years, she has focused on supporting educators through mentoring, professional learning, and onboarding initiatives. She is also a co-founder of the New Leaf Program, designed to help newly hired faculty successfully transition into their roles and become active members of the school community.
