About me
Laís Gonzalez Gil is a Head Teacher at Avenues São Paulo with over 15 years of experience in early childhood and elementary education. She holds a degree in Education from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a postgraduate qualification in Interpersonal Relationships in Schools from Instituto Vera Cruz. Throughout her career, she has worked in bilingual and inquiry-based learning environments, with a particular interest in metacognition, social-emotional learning, and collaborative practices.As an educator, Laís is passionate about making children's thinking visible and creating opportunities for reflection, agency, and meaningful learning. In addition to her classroom work, she has contributed to educator development through mentoring, professional learning initiatives, and conflict mediation training. Her work explores how routines and reflective practices can empower young learners to better understand themselves as thinkers, learners, and members of a community.
